About the exhibition
This two-person exhibition considers the poetics of the matrimonial mandate “till death do us part.” As both the afterlife itself and the face of the beloved lie beyond the veil, these paintings and photographs consider the overlapping relationships between the erotic, the sacramental, and the accidental as manifest in bygone faces, places, and objects.
