About the Exhibition

Printmaker Joseph Lupo explores the ways images, language, and popular culture shape how we construct meaning. Drawing extensively from the visual language of comic books, Lupo deconstructs and reorganizes familiar images and texts, transforming recognizable source material into unexpected compositions. Through processes of fragmentation, repetition, alphabetization, and wordplay, his prints challenge assumptions about authenticity, communication, and how we interpret the information presented to us.
